Artists that a teenage girl might like?

For school, we have to do a report on an artist. It can be ANY artist. I don't really want to do someone who is really well known, like da vinci, I want to do it on an artist that's semi famous. I kinda want to do it on a more feminine artist. but it doesn't have to be really girly. If it's modern, that would be nice too. any suggestions?
