I have a question about the Australian election.?

Sky News said, "The election was fought mainly on domestic issues, with Labor exploiting widespread anger at workplace laws and rising interest rates." What are these "workplace laws" that caused widespread anger? Do you agree with Sky? I am from the US and I am curious.
