Comment: in an obese patient with hypertension one can worry about a minimal tear of ascending aorta.?

I just did an autopsy in such case, 6 years after a high velocity accident. The patient was obese and he had stage I hypertension. The only abnormality after accident was the positive QRS in V2 lead. Is it possible that such a small tear/weakening of the aorta wall was missed 6 years ago when the accident occurred? I will have a hard time to prove that.
